Greetings, UPLL Nation!

We're excited to announce that registration for the 2021 Spring Season at Upper Providence Little League will open on Saturday, January 8! Our first games this season will get underway the week of April 5th. Weather permitting, practices may begin around the last week of March. We are aiming to end the season around June 5th across all divisions. As we continue to manage through the COVID-19 pandemic, we will again use the policies and procedures developed for our 2020 Summer Season. You will be asked to confirm that you have read and accept these policies during your registration process.

Read on for more information regarding our divisions, fees and discounts, important dates, and volunteer information!

Divisions

We will feature the following divisions for 2021:

• Baseball
  • Tee Ball - 4 and 5 year olds
  • Rookies - Divided into two sub-divisions
    • A: 6 and 7 year olds
    • AA: 7 and 8 year olds
    • 7 year olds will be assessed by skill at Evaluations and assigned to A or AA Divisions accordingly
  • Minors - 9 and 10 year olds
  • Intermediate (50/70) - 11, 12, and 13 year olds
  • Challenger ** - Adaptive program for children with physical and intellectual challenges, ages 4 through 22
• Softball
  • Rookies - Ages 6, 7, and 8
  • Minors - Ages 9 and 10
  • Majors - Ages 11 and 12

** At this time, we have not received confirmation that our Little League District will be operating or sanctioning a Challenger Program for 2021 due to the continuing concerns of the effects of COVID-19 for children with physical and intellectual challenges. We will update registered Challenger participants as more information becomes available. **

Registration Fees and Discounts

For Tee Ball, the registration fee will be $50/player. For Challenger, no registration fee will be charged. For all other divisions, the registration fee will be $160/player.

We will be offering a $25 Early Bird Discount through January 31, 2021. Additionally, a $10 discount per additional player registered in a family is offered.

A late registration fee will be charged for all registrations received after February 28th! This fee will be $10 additional for Tee Ball and $25 for all other divisions.

Credits from 2020 Spring Season

All credit balances due to the cancellation of the season should be properly reflected on your account. You can check your credit balance by logging into our website at https://up-littleleague.com and verifying the amount on your My Account page. This credit balance will be applied at checkout against any registration charges for the 2021.

Important Dates

• Player Evaluations / Tryouts (Baseball Rookies, Minors, and Intermediate Divisions): Sunday, February 21 (backup: Sunday, February 28)
• Field Preparation and Spring Cleanup: Saturday, March 20 (backup: Saturday, March 27)
• UPLL / Team Picture Day: TBD

Volunteers

During registration, you will be asked if you would like to volunteer for several possible roles. As always, UPLL is a completely volunteer run organization. We politely ask for your involvement in the league, through coaching or volunteering, to help keep our league running and operating. All volunteers are required to submit Background Checks and State Mandated Clearances before participating in any volunteer role!
