Each year, through the hard work and efforts of our volunteers, Upper Providence Little League gives hundreds of children the opportunity to learn the games of baseball and softball and grow important life skills like sportsmanship and teamwork. UPLL - and Little League organizations throughout the world - provide a unique way to bring the local community together through a common bond we all share: wanting to build a better world for our children.

On this #GivingTuesday, we ask that you consider making a donation to UPLL. Here are some ways, both through direct financial donations and additional methods, in which you can further the efforts of UPLL:

• Make a financial donation: UPLL is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and any donation made is tax deductible. If you’re considering making a donation, many employers will match your donation; these include notable local employers Vanguard, GlaxoSmithKline, Lockheed Martin, and many others. Check with your Human Resources Department and you could amplify the power of your giving with your employer’s help!

• Make a donation of equipment: UPLL is always in need of baseball and softball equipment. If you have lightly used equipment from a player who has graduated from our programs, such as catching gear, USABat-approved baseball or softball bats, or balls, please consider donating them to UPLL. Again, the current value of these donated items is tax-deductible!

• Make a donation of your time: From those you see directly on the field coaching our children to those behind the scenes ensuring things like registration go smoothly, equipment is ordered, and the Snack Stand is up and running, UPLL is driven forward by our volunteers. Please see our current volunteer needs list for areas where you might be able to assist. Again, many employers will support your volunteer efforts through “Dollars to Doers” programs. Through these programs, if you volunteer a minimum amount of hours throughout the year with a non-profit organization, your employer will make a financial donation to match your volunteer efforts! Check with your HR Department to see if your employer has such a program.
