Little League International requires Upper
Providence Little League as a chartered organization to abide
by its rules and regulations related to its boundaries.
We are not able to accept any registrations from players that
do not live inside our approved boundary under Little League
rules. This past fall we, in cooperation with Lower Perk
Little League, were able to revise our boundary so that it
mirrors to a large extent the Springford
School
District boundaries.
As a result of this our boundary map has changed and before
you register your child you should check your home address to
make sure that you are still in the Upper Providence Little
League boundary.
In the Upper Providence area there are several
other baseball organizations that are not Little League
organizations that we share our boundary with however our
primary concern is with boundaries of other Little League
organizations. Our boundary is surrounded by other
Little Leagues; Lower Perk Little League, East Norriton Little
League, Coventry Little League and Berwyn- Paoli Little League
to name a few. In the event you reside outside our
approved boundary please consult with the websites for these
Little Leagues so you can determine if you reside in their
boundary.
There are certain very limited instances in
which Little League will approve a waiver in the event you do
not currently reside within our approved boundary. In the
event you previously resided within our boundary for at least
two years while serving our league as a manager, coach or a
member of our Board of Directors and/or your son or daughter
played for our league you will be able to obtain a waiver to
have your children continue play in our Little League.
In the event you moved from within our boundary (and one of
your children played for our Little League) to a residence
outside our boundary your children and their siblings are
permitted to play for our league as long as we get advance
approval from our District Administrator. Finally if at some
point in the future, we revise our boundaries and your
residence was previously within our boundary and, as a result
of a revision, your residence is now outside our boundary you
will be able to receive a waiver for your children and their
siblings to continue to play for our Little League. As you can see these
waivers are only applicable in certain circumstances if at
sometime you lived within our boundary. These
waivers will not be applicable if you never lived within our
league boundary.
Please carefully review the boundary on our
website and affirmatively confirm when you register your child
that you live within our boundary. After the
registration process is complete we will review all
registrations based on address and confirm that you are within
our boundary and if you are not we will have to decline your
registration unless a waiver situation is applicable.
For any other questions related to boundaries please consult
the Little League International website at littleleague.org or
contact the UPLL Registrar as listed on our
website.
